01. What Meta Actually Launched
Muse for Small Business is a feature set inside Muse, not a separate foundation model.
Meta announced Muse for Small Business on 29 September 2026. The name is precise: it is a collection of business skills and connectors inside Muse, Meta’s personal AI agent. It is not “Meta Muse Business”, a new standalone application or a separate model. This guide uses Meta Muse as the public title, then uses the official name whenever it refers to the business feature.
Meta says Muse works in the background to help a small business reach its goals. The launch material describes research, document and spreadsheet work, calls, website use and connected services. The point is not a new chat surface. It is a personal agent that can carry context and continue work across the places where a small business already operates.
Muse itself launched earlier in September as a consumer personal agent. That history matters because the small-business release inherits the same core product and risk model: broad personal context, a vendor-hosted computer and optional connectors. The business announcement extends what Muse can do. It does not create a separate security boundary between work and life.
The useful mental model is one general agent with more business tools. If you need hard separation between clients, departments or legal entities, create that separation in accounts, connector scope and operating policy. A marketing label is not an access-control system.
“Muse for Small Business is an expansion of Muse, not a new model or a separate agent platform.”
